The Committee working on the implementation of the events of the Doha OIC Youth Capital 2019 seeks to leave a deep impact under the concept of the slogan “Youth is the Power of the Nation,” by linking the Muslim youth with every essential component of their lives that has a real influence on their behavior. Youth is a real part of the nation’s future, and they therefore have to carry this message with all its intellectual, psychological, social and historical aspects. Hence, it has become impossible to ignore the environment in which young Muslims live as a basic component of their personalities. Accordingly, it has become necessary that the tree that surrounds the house of a young man, and that accompanies him on the sides of the roads, entertains him in his travels and tours, and even shares water and air with him, and that became part of the flags of some Muslim countries and a symbol of other countries, be part of this international event.
In order to enhance the impact of the environment on the life of nations and to consolidate the concept of sustainable development among the Muslim youth, the organizing committee has decided to hold a side event accompanying Doha OIC Youth Capital 2019 event, under the name of “Planting Trees.”
Objectives of the event:
– Commemorating Doha’s hosting of Muslim youth events.
– Promoting sustainable development in the environment sector, in order to achieve the National Vision 2030.
– Emphasizing the value of planting in the Islamic religion.
– Achieving institutional partnerships between ministries.
– Adding a form of purposeful excellence to the events of Doha OIC Youth Capital 2019.
During the event, a tree is planted from each of the OIC Member States , with an overview and information about each tree and its source.
These trees will be patronized until 11 January, the proposed inauguration date, so that the public can learn about tree habitats and the different as well as similar types of trees for which the OIC Member States are known.
The inauguration will be attended by community members from the OIC Member States, as well as a number of ambassadors from these states, completing the inauguration ceremony with a miniature environment of each state’s community.
